Maps show you where the bar is, not what it pours.

Cocktail menus live in PDFs, Instagram stories or nowhere at all, and a week later you can't remember what you ordered. Sippy puts the menus of 602 cocktail bars on your iPhone, tells you what's in each drink, and keeps a private record of what you had.

What Sippy does about it

  1. Sippy's Tonight screen in New York: a map of nearby bars, nine of them open now, and last night's sips.

    Tonight

Half the bars on the map are closed, or about to be.

    See what's open near you

Bars nearby, which are open now and until when, and a guide to the city you're in.

  2. Superbueno's page in Sippy: its style, its neighborhood, and its menu of eleven cocktails.

    The bar

The menu is a PDF, an Instagram story, or nowhere.

    Read the whole menu first

Every drink a bar lists, with its base spirit and flavor, plus hours, address and how to book.

  3. The Mole Negroni at Superbueno: Negroni family, mezcal base, stirred, served on the rocks, with its ingredients.

    The drink

A name like “Mole Negroni” only tells you so much.

    Know what's in the glass

Family, base, technique, glass and ingredients. Strength is marked as an estimate when the bar doesn't publish it.

  4. A timeline of logged drinks by night and bar, each with its base spirit and rating.

    Your sips

A week later, you can't remember what you had or where.

    Keep a record of it

Log a drink with a rating, a note and who made it. Your log is private. There is no public feed.

  • Sippy's Library: foundations, a flavor map, recipes, cocktail families and spirits.

    Look it up, even offline

Recipes, cocktail families, spirits and technique, built into the app.

  • Sippy's Pace screen: drinks logged today and this week against a cap of ten.

    Pace

It's easy to lose count over a long week.

Set a weekly cap, if you want one

See what you've logged against a limit you set. Only you can see it.

For bars

Your drinks are why people come. Most listings leave them out.

Maps and review sites show your hours, your address and a star rating, but rarely your cocktail menu. Sippy shows every drink you list, so people can choose a bar for what it pours.

If you run a cocktail bar in one of our cities, it's probably already in Sippy. Our team keeps every listing current in Backbar, the catalog tool behind Sippy, and checks each change before it goes live in the app and on the web.

What your page shows

  • Name, style and neighborhood
  • A line about the bar
  • The cocktail menu, drink by drink
  • Address and directions
  • Opening hours
  • Reservations, phone, Instagram and website

To change it

  1. Find your bar in the bar guide.
  2. Email us what's changed: a new menu as a PDF, photo or link, new hours, or anything that's wrong.
  3. We check it and update your page.

Questions

How do I get Sippy?
It's free on the App Store for iPhone. Get Sippy on the App Store, or browse the bar guide on the web first.
Does it cost anything?
No. Sippy is free to download and free to use.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There's no Android app yet. The bar guide works in any browser.
Is every menu up to date?
Not always. Some bars have a full menu in Sippy, others only a profile for now. Menus change, so check with the bar when it matters. A drink's build or strength marked as an estimate isn't the bar's recipe.
Who can see what I log?
Only you. Your sips, notes and the people you log stay out of the public catalog. If you send us a correction, its details go to our review team. The Privacy Notice has the rest.
